Similar to children, puppies possess limited attention spans, lack impulse control, and exhibit heightened curiosity. Picture leaving your two-year-old human child unsupervised in your home. How do you think that situation would unfold? Destruction, accidents, and potential injuries would likely result. Just as we recognize that human infants require proper supervision, the same principle applies to young dogs. When welcoming a new puppy into your household, a well-structured plan is essential. This strategy creates an environment where the puppy is shielded from harm while concurrently learning proper behavior as a house companion. Dogs thrive on routines—these routines can be positive or negative. When integrating a puppy into your life, establishing management systems that foster positive routines becomes pivotal for success and prevents negative behavior patterns such as separation anxiety, indoor accidents, overreactivity, and more.

Arguably one of the most misconstrued aspects of puppy training. Many handlers make critical errors when attempting to adequately socialize their puppy. Regrettably, readily available sources like Google often lead people astray when it comes to proper socialization. Have you ever wondered why dogs trained within our system, regardless of their past, can remain composed around unfamiliar dogs and people, prioritizing their handler’s guidance wherever they are? The secret lies in our socialization approach. Contrary to popular belief, effective socialization doesn’t involve overwhelming your puppy with endless interactions with unfamiliar individuals and dogs. This misguided approach, regardless of treats involved, can heighten your puppy’s anxiety about social interactions or lead to excessive excitement during such encounters. Neither extreme proves productive. Instead, a balanced approach helps the puppy develop comfort around strangers and social situations. They learn to remain composed and attentive to their handler, irrespective of the behavior exhibited by other dogs nearby. Allow us to demonstrate this approach to you
